Legacy Plans
Consider our endowment as part of your legacy
The St. Clare School Endowment is a permanent fund which supports the general operations of the school. An endowment is the perfect recipient of a legacy gift because the fund grants to the school FOREVER.
What are legacy gifts?
Legacy Gifts, otherwise known as a planned gift, both support Saint Clare School and create a legacy for yourself or your family. Examples of Legacy Gifts include a gift made in a will, known as a bequest, donation of a life insurance or retirement plan, charitable trusts, and charitable gift annuities. It is always important for individuals to discuss their financial planning with an advisor.
INCLUDE ST. CLARE SCHOOL IN YOUR LEGACY PLANS
Some of our supporters have remembered the school in their estate planning. These gifts are exceptionally important to the future of our school. A gift from your estate plan, what we call a legacy gift, will support students for generations to come and allow us to develop long-term, lasting enhancements to our programs and facilities.
We all have a legacy to leave and we hope you consider Saint Clare School to be a part of your legacy.
How do I move forward?
We are here to help as you consider your options for legacy gifts. In partnership with the Catholic Community Foundation, our legacy giving partner, we can introduce you to an estate planning attorney, organize your charitable giving desires, and show our appreciation for your gift. For more information contact Nick Carney at carney@catholiccf.org.
If you are planning or have already planned a bequest in support of Saint Clare School, we would like to thank you by inviting you to join the Society of Saint Joseph. The Society is a group of dedicated donors who have made a commitment to name their local parish, a Catholic elementary school, the Diocese of San Jose, or any ministry of the Diocese as beneficiaries of a gift (of any size) in their wills or trusts, retirement accounts or life insurance policies. For more information about the Society and to learn how to join, visit cfoscc.org/societyofsaintjoseph or contact Nick Carney at carney@catholiccf.org.
What will your legacy be?
Legacy is about leaving behind the essence of who we are for future generations; our stories, our faith and our values, as well as the financial resources with which we were blessed during life. Leaving a legacy is not a choice, but leaving a great one is.
