Mrs. Ethelita Wallace

Vice Principal
ETHELITA.WALLACE@DSJ.ORG

Mrs. Wallace grew up in Milpitas and attended Five Wounds Elementary School and Notre Dame High School, both in San Jose. Teaching is a passion that she discovered after taking early retirement from Hewlett Packard where she worked for 28 years. Mrs. Wallace held positions in Customer Service Engineering, Marketing, and Product Project Management. It wasn’t until she took advantage of an early retirement offering that she discovered her true passion, teaching.

Mrs. Wallace spent roughly 15 years in the diocese of San Jose, teaching middle school and spent the 2021-2022 school year as the 5th grade teacher at St. Clare. This wonderful opportunity to teach elementary students, combined with her love for all students, made it difficult for her to stop teaching completely and she eagerly volunteered to take on teaching K through 4th grade art.

Mrs. Wallace holds an A.S. degree in Engineering from Foothill College, a B.S. degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in marketing from Notre Dame de Namur University and received her teaching credential from Santa Clara University.

Mrs. Wallace has been a Jazzercise instructor for 28 years and continues to teach 3+ classes weekly. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, making jewelry, crafting, and all outdoor activities and sports.
