Mr. Joey Medeiros

Mr. Joey is looking forward to a musical year filled with dancing, enhancing musicianship, and introducing music from different cultures to all the students.

He received his Bachelor of Music degree from San Francisco State University, received his Masters of Arts degree in Music with an emphasis in Ethnomusicology from SFSU, and is pursuing his Doctorate of Musical Arts in Music Education from Boston University. Aside from the classroom, he is a Portuguese Recording Artist that can be seen on tour during the summer months all over the world in different Portuguese communities. Having been fortunate enough to travel the world because of his music (and having been introduced to different styles of music from many different cultures), he intends on introducing these cultures and their music in his classes.

Outside of teaching music, he is a huge Disney fan and frequents Disneyland, Disney World, and Aulani in Hawaii throughout the year.
