After-School Activities

  • Saint Clare school offers the Cool Kids Zone (CKZ), an after school program that provides supervised care for students of all grades.

    Your child will have an experience that is rewarding, beneficial and fun-an entire year of creative learning and fun activities.

    Theme-based lesson plans offer a variety of activities for both small and large groups, which includes arts & crafts, sports, drama, and homework assistance.

    Staff

    Our staff are committed and responsible people. Their extensive training ensures safe and healthy experiences for all students. All staff are CPR and First Aid Certified, will supervise activities for all grades.

    Fees

    Fees vary depending on the amount of care needed and the number of children in the family needing care. We offer full time rates for before and /or after school care as well as hourly rates for families desiring only drop-in care.

    Hours of Operation

    Before school care is available each school day starting at 7:30am and after school care begins at school dismissal and ends at 5:30pm.

  • Our Band Program is provided by M.U.S.E., an organization that provides after-school music programs across California and Oregon.

    Students are provided an array of wind and brass instruments to learn, and are a part of at least two performances during their time in the program.

  • Our Debate Program is provided by Rose Debate.

  • Our school robotics team, the Code Crackers is available to join for 7th and 8th graders.

    These students fundraiser throughout the year to be able to create the hardware and software necessary for building competitive robots.

    After winning the Tech Challenge from the Tech Interactive Museum, they are looking forward to competing in the FIRST Tech Challenge this year!

  • Our Art Program is provided by Hidden Talent Art, a San Jose-based organization that provides art classes to various schools around the Bay Area.

    Focused on our younger students, the class teaches the basics of drawing, sketching, watercolor painting, and various other mediums.

  • Our Chess Program is provided by Chess Wizards.

  • Our Athletics Program is an amazing way for students to make new friends, learn teamworks and leadership, and stay active! The following sports will be available for the 2025-2026 school year:

    Fall 1: Boys Flag Football / Girls Volleyball

    Fall 2: Boys Soccer / Girls Soccer

    Winter: Boys Basketball / Girls Basketball

    Spring: Boys Volleyball / Girls Flag Football

    May: Boys & Girls Track Meet
